Dodgers Strike Early, Hold Off Mariners Rally in 10–7 Win

The Los Angeles Dodgers came out swinging to open the top of the first inning, and the usual suspects were right in the middle of it.

Miguel Rojas led off the game with a double and quickly stole third base. Kyle Tucker followed with a walk to put runners on the corners. They wouldn’t stay there long. For the second straight day, Teoscar Hernández delivered a big swing, launching a three-run homer to jump-start the Dodgers to a quick 3–0 lead over the Seattle Mariners.

Dodgers starter Landon Knack was sharp in the first inning, striking out the first two batters and inducing a flyout on just 11 pitches. The second inning, however, proved more difficult.

Knack allowed a single and a walk before surrendering doubles to Rylan Thomas and Brock Rodden, quickly tying the game at 3–3.

The score remained even until Tucker broke things open with a towering home run to dead center. The Dodgers offense caught fire from there, highlighted by a three-run blast from James Tibbs III that pushed Los Angeles ahead 9–3 after six innings.

Seattle made one final push in the ninth, plating three runs, but the Dodgers held on for a 10–7 victory.
