Dodgers Implode After Early 7–0 Lead, Brewers Win 24–9

The Los Angeles Dodgers could not have scripted a better start Monday night — but what followed was a stunning collapse.

Behind early home runs from Max Muncy and Teoscar Hernández, the Dodgers jumped out to a commanding 7–0 lead. Hyeseong Kim added two hits, scored a run and stole a base, while Freddie Freeman chipped in with a hit and a run scored.

On the mound, Tyler Glasnow looked dominant early. After allowing a leadoff single, the right-hander settled in and held the Milwaukee Brewers scoreless through four innings while striking out six.

Then everything unraveled.

In the top of the fifth inning, Milwaukee’s offense suddenly came alive. After a walk and a pair of singles loaded the bases, the Brewers began stringing together hit after hit to keep the line moving.

With the Dodgers clinging to the lead, Blake Treinen entered but the inning spiraled further when Brandon Lockridge blasted a grand slam to give Milwaukee a 10–7 advantage.

The Brewers never slowed down. Milwaukee piled on with a nine-run seventh inning and added five more runs in the ninth to turn the game into a blowout.

By the end of the night, the scoreboard told the entire story: Brewers 24, Dodgers 9.
